Sustainability
A Deep Respect for the Natural World
Creating botanical photography allows us to look closely at nature's extraordinary detail, beauty and fragility. It also brings with it a deep respect and a responsibility to care for the living world that inspires our photography.
In our studio practice, when we're on location or produce and deliver our artwork, we aim to tread lightly and work thoughtfully.
Carbon-Neutral Fine Art Printing
Our main print collection is produced by theprintspace, the UK's first end-to-end carbon-neutral fine art printing service. They work to reduce emissions wherever possible and offset the remainder through verified renewable energy projects, ensuring every print and its delivery are carbon neutral.
Print-on-Demand: No Unnecessary Waste
Each Botanographia print is created only when it is ordered. This print-on-demand approach avoids over-production and unnecessary waste, while allowing us to focus on what we do best: creating beautiful botanical photographic art.
Thoughtful Packaging
Your artwork will arrive in simple, sturdy protective packaging designed to keep it safe while minimising environmental impact. Materials are responsibly sourced and recyclable wherever possible, and tubes and envelopes can easily be reused.
Premium, Responsible Materials
Every Botanographia print is colour-tested and carefully proofed before being produced on archival fine-art papers sourced from sustainably managed forests, using museum-quality inks designed to last for decades.
Respecting the Materials We Work With
Botanical photography naturally involves working with plant materials. Flowers, leaves and stems used in our studio are carefully gathered from nature or sourced from gardens, seasonal growers or local suppliers.
After they have been photographed, plant material is returned to the natural cycle through composting, reflecting our commitment to reducing waste in both our personal and professional lives.
Effective Customs-Free EU Delivery
With production studios in both the UK and Germany, theprintspace, our print supplier can often produce and ship our main art print collection within the EU, helping avoid customs charges and reducing shipping distances.
